Dutch National championships

When I woke up this morning, a shock went through my body. I heard rain drops on my bedroom window. I turned around thinking about yesterday. The weather was good, good enough to enjoy the beach with some friends. I sighed and thought, if it’s raining then we will all have this crap weather. Pushed the power button on laptop to see what the forcast were for today and the website said that the bad weather should clear in the afternoon.

Friends and family gathered in my parents home to drive to the national championships in Amsterdam. We had to go with 2 cars, so I had some people cheering for me at the nationals! (Thank you for that!)

Luckely the forcast for the afternoon was right and there was no rain! So that wasn’t a problem, but that didnt mean I didnt have any, I had a lot of problems with my running during my warm up. (sadly, nothing new) My next to competitors were, Jan Peter Larsen(SB 219 PB 225) and Wilbert Pennings(SB 215 PB 230) Starting at 2m I cleared everything untill 219, where I needed to tries. Then 221 where I even needed 3! After that I was national champion, the hole competition I was struggling with consistency and that result in 3 completely different jumps on 225.
